Today is day 3 of Christmas in July and I had to share with you before I leave what two items will be 20% off in my shop today.
The first item is A Word A Day Vocabulary. You can read all about that item {HERE}. I have to tell you I used this product all year last year with my 2nd graders and it went fantastically! I was so pleased with how they remembered the meanings to these words weeks even months after we had learned and tested on them. The idea is you introduce one word a day and discuss its part of speech, synonyms, antonyms, practice making sentences, etc. By Friday they have 4 words to be tested on. During the week you will send home a homework page on Tuesday that covers Mon. and Tues. word of the day and then another homework page on Thursday that covers Wed. and Thurs. word of the day. There are even review pages you can throw in to have them practice previous words. Click on the picture below to go to this item in my shop. Can we say great word work activity for my fellow daily fivers out there!
The next product on sale today is my Morning Work Basket Bundle. I also used this with my class last year. There is a different set for each month of the school year. Students will set up a morning work notebook (basically numbering pages in a spiral) and you will make a few copies at the beginning of each month and you're all set. If you download the preview by clicking on the picture below you will see examples from most months of everything included and a detailed explanation of how I used it in my class. This has been one of my favorite items to use with my class.
I am also going to be giving away a product of your choice from the past two posts of Christmas in July to 3 people. It is super simple all you have to do is pin THIS post. I will randomly select three winners tomorrow and you will get your choice of the items from Day 1 (ELA and Math Common Core Assessment Pack or Back To School Math and Literacy Centers) or Day 2 (The Daily Calendar Routine or Main Idea Mania). The only rules are you have to pin THIS post today, leave the link to the post in a comment with your email. That's it!!
Don't forget to like my facebook page for other great fan only freebies! The free item this week is an adorable crayon craftivity for back to school!
Check out the other posts today see what's on sale for day 3 from these blogs. Now I'm off to my room. Wish me luck!
Heather, I am so jealous you are already getting your room ready. I can't even get into mine yet. One of my favorite things is prepping my classroom for a new school year. Everything is in the "right" place even if it is just for a brief moment in time. HAHA. Good luck today. Can't wait to see pictures.
